A one-day-only event where we - spacelab_ open our door for the first time showcasing our design journey through the latest technologies that are part of our design process.
We are an exploratory architectural design studio that believes space unites us. Data-driven and future-proof design are fundamental to us. Thus our open house event will give you a unique opportunity to step inside our world and explore our limitless creativity.
You will learn about our recent projects and processes from start to finish through multiple mediums including live demonstration, VR, XR, and exhibition. Some of our exciting projects include Vertical farm-to-fork at Royal Dock, which is also the LFA curator picks, and the latest completion of a well-established fashion brand.
A debate will then follow at 6pm and we will be closing the day with drinks.
Agenda
12pm to 6pm: Open house, no booking required.
6pm - 7.30pm: Debate, booking required.
Is technology a booster or disaster for creativity? Arguably, digital and technology make us work more effectively and efficiently; less resources and more accuracy. As a practise, spacelab_ advocate the use digital tools to inform, develop and test our designs, but with the ever growing advances and reliance on technology, we question whether technology will be the beginning of a creative disaster - can it infact limit creative thinking and how far will we let it takeover and to what extent.
