An exhibition of shortlisted entries for 'A Gateway to New Malden', an LFA competition in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames.
Taking the roundabout and nearby pocket park as focus, each team is proposing a new visual focal point in New Malden that acts as a ‘gateway’ to the town centre. The designs focus on creating an inclusive and attractive green space, define signage into the town centre and considering the town's local context and heritage.
The aim of the competition is to commission an innovative and creative design that will help residents make better use of the public realm so it can better serve its community.
The exhibition will take place outside Kingston Environment Centre, from 10am until 1pm on Friday 23 June, and from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 24 June. There will be the opportunity to comment on the design proposals via a public survey.
