Art and Architecture Walking Tour of Battersea Nine Elms

13 June 2023

14:30 -16:30

Have you ever seen a pig fly? You would have in December 1976 near the Battersea Power Station! We cannot promise flying pigs but what you will see is iconic architecture, outdoor art and work in progress on the largest regeneration project in Europe. This up and coming neighbourhood of London is filled with old stories. It is a place where the past meets the future. Building and un-building of pleasure gardens, railways, industries, embassies and shopping malls reflect the ever changing aspirations of this pocket of London. It can cause wonder or alienation. At the heart of this place are people who create, build, live and work here. Their stories will help us understand how spaces we have in common can be inclusive or exclusive, public or private, connected or disconnected. Our aim is to create a sense of belonging. Let us walk together and find common ground.
Ticket Offers: £8 for students, senior citizens, under 18s, the registered unemployed and Equity members. The event is free for up to 3 children under the age of 16 years when accompanied by a paying adult with the code KIDSGOFREE.
The tour is part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival and offers WAF Multi-buy: Book 3 Events, Get 30% Off.
