Common Distributions is a co-creation exploration at Royal Albert Wharf with local communities. An interactive installation will be held at an empty retail space facing onto Pump House Square in June 2023. The project will set the scene for the development of a pavilion in the square the following summer.
Creative collaborative approaches, temporary strategies, and circular economy principles will be explored, with materials freely collected or donated. Artist-led workshops will be held over a series of weekends and Loose Parts Play events will be hosted for children and families. All activities aim to be fun, playful and create new relationships with the surrounding area. The experimental approach will promote social, cultural and environmental values through different ways of empowering people in defining their shared environments collectively.
