This symposium will frame the commons as the sphere of community, asking both speakers and participants:
‘How can the commons provide new ways to address the precariousness of working & living with/in urban communities?’
Bringing together academics, activists, and community leaders to explore how the public and the government can work together to use art and design to create magnificent shared spaces (called "commons") for us all.
Shared spaces can use art and design to address societal concerns such as civic apathy, consumerism, and individualism - which in turn will help communities to build trust and take positive action together.
Join us for a day of discussion and exchange
