East Finchley Happening

Join the Town Team in the heart of East Finchley for a workshop to test and generate ideas for how the wide pavement on the High Road can be transformed at the centre of our community.

What do we want from planting, seating, parking, cycles, railings, trees, advertising, paving and lighting? Can we improve this existing space? Can we calm and green the area next to the busy road junction, reduce pollution, increase footfall for local traders and businesses, make it a more pleasant place in the city, used in common by all our communities, to sit out in the sun, for a small market, host events, play, gather for seasonal celebrations?

There will be music, entertainment and happenings animating the High Road. By showing together how this space can be different, we will show how it can be improved in the long term and build support and collaboration to transform the heart of East Finchley.
