Brixton Eco Village is an exploration of the theme of In Common, created in collaboration with schools, youth clubs and community groups around Brixton. In the weeks running up to this years LFA, local artists will be running a series of co-design and model making workshops to vision, and produce in miniature, a Brixton where grassroots infrastructure supports a creative low carbon way of life. The Workshops explore the four pillars of permaculture- Food, Fibre, Fuel and Festival, through the lens of what a community can produce for itself whilst regenerating its landscape.
Our launch event at the iconic windmill is a mini festival co-created with members of CEFI youth club. Come along to see the unveiling of a commonly made model village, here about the process, read the visions of Brixton residents and be inspired by a communities aspirations for a regenerative future.
