The walk will stop in 4 locations from where we can draw the buildings and the urban scenes around them, including the local community going about their lives.
Nuno Pais, architect and urban sketcher, will be leading the workshop for Middlesex University.
Some of the current urban spaces and buildings we will look at, will soon be replaced but we will immortalise them in our drawings. The drawings will be a snapshot of a place and a time.
We will portray the iconic Claddagh Ring pub, the Sentinel Square Shopping Centre, the Hendon Central Circus, and the Burroughs Lane where we will be spoilt for choice between many impressive grand buildings such as the Hendon Town Hall, the Hendon Library, the Methodist Church and Middlesex University.
Basic materials (sketchbook and fine-liner pen) will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own colour media (e.g. watercolours/pencils etc) - this event is open to everyone who has a passion for drawing and would like to explore the urban environment of Hendon through sketching.
