People of colour continue to suffer disproportionately from the climate crisis despite contributing the least to global warming. Communities across the Global South are now more likely to experience natural disasters and climate change injustice because of the practices of the Western world. This panel event aims to bring attention to this while looking toward a more sustainable future.
Chaired by Shawn Adams, Outreach Lead at HTA the event will be an informative panel discussion that illustrates the impact climate change has on communities of colour. Bringing together a wealth of expertise and knowledge the panellists will discuss ways the Western World can do less damage to the most vulnerable parts of the world. This will be a forward-thinking dialogue that brings together designers, grassroots organisations, and environmental activists.
