To celebrate National Clean Air Day this week, join this talk and tour of the much loved Brixton Orchard. The orchard sits on common land and was created by and for the local community. Find out how it came to be created on such a busy interjunction in central london and how the community help care for it and shape it's future. We will discuss some key concepts about forest gardens, a growing system that mimics the structure of a natural forest, including what we mean when we talk about accumulators, attractors and fixers? To end the session, you are invited to make a seed bomb to take away with you to use on some other common land to help make our city a bit more green and wildlife friendly!
