On The Beat in Bloomsbury’s Best

This guided walk has been designed to incorporate the theme “In Common”, by celebrating some of Bloomsbury’s iconic buildings, magnificent green open air spaces and ways of life. This will be a one mile walk taking 90 minutes, along a flat route.
The walk will explore the history of the Bloomsbury area, immediately to the north of Holborn. We introduce the characters responsible for its creation and development, and how these same open spaces have evolved over the years. We will sprinkle in some stories from my experiences from when I was a Bobby on the Beat in this area fifty years ago. We will discover what was in common with the past and the present, and what we have learnt along the way.
