Stumble, trip! Why London needs more risky play

Risky play is great for children. It builds confidence, trust in your body and most of all it’s fun. So what is holding London’s built environment community back from creating more varied play spaces for our kids? And why do we so often still see cookie cutter play spaces in some of our most prominent developments? This expert panel attempts to answer these questions, leading to an open discussion about what we as advocates can do to bring more exciting play to our city.

Chair: Andrea Klettner, Director, London Communications Agency
Participants:
Selina Mason, Director of Masterplanning, Lendlease
Tim Gill, Chair UK Play Safety Forum and author of Urban Playground: How child-friendly planning and design can save cities
Susanne Tutsch, Director, Erect Architecture
