Building blocks are a traditional toy that we all hold ‘In common’. Construction play is great way to engage in co-operative play helping to build social skills.
Building a tower out of blocks and knocking it down is a great way for young children to develop their fine and gross motor skills. Its also a great introduction into cause and effect, helping them discover that their actions have an effect on the world and later in life their communities.
Led by Barnet Libraries Early Years Team the event will provide a range of building-based play opportunities for children and their grown-ups to explore. Activities will involve a range of different building materials.
The session will run twice on the same morning. Each session will last 50minutes.
Times 10am – 10.50am and 11.15am – 12.05pm
The events will require booking on Eventbrite. Booking opens at 7am on the day of the events
