‘Three Billboards’ is a large-scale work by British architect OMMX and the graphic design studio Daly & Lyon. It is part of ‘A Call to the Commons’, a public art and architecture project that builds on the LFA 2023 theme ‘In Common’, featuring 6 newly commissioned posters by artists, architects and designers installed on billboards, fly posters and digital screens across London.
The posters which employ a simple graphic text format are a call to the commons, inviting the public to connects with decision makers in the built environment by way of a website www.policymakers.uk. Here the public can share their thoughts about where they live and how it can be improved. After the project the experiences and ideas gathered will be shared with members of the Greater London Authority to lobby for change, providing an opportunity for a commentary on our public realm, and the city itself. Policymakers was founded by OMMX and Daly & Lyon to champion the rights of the underserved and underrepresented.
Guests are invited to visit site locations throughout June and on the evening of 20th June we invite you to attend a panel event to debate some of the themes around the 6 artworks produced.
