London Festival of Architecture is looking for a programme coordinator to join its London team.
Position offered for a six month contract starting February 2018.
Salary £24,000 per annum, pro rata £12,000.
Job purpose
To work with the head of programming to ensure the successful delivery of the content and curation of the London Festival of Architecture. Providing an opportunity for our sponsors and practices to engage with the Festival. Supporting the successful delivery of Festival income. Assist in maintaining the partnerships between our stakeholders.
Reporting to the head of programming. Other key relationships include the deputy director and director. Key external relationships include event organisers, Goodfellow Communications and partner organisations.
Main roles and responsibilities
- supporting the head of programming with the development and delivery of the content of the LFA
- support the management of the LFA’s key relationships with partner organisations including cultural organisations, schools of architecture and embassies
- attend the partner meetings and the schools and families sub group
- assist patrons to develop a programme of events to coincide with the LFA in line with the annual theme
- manage the call for entry process for the LFA supporting the framework for curation of events
- lead on the administration process for registering events. Handling enquires from event organisers and updating records
- support the head of programming to develop the LFA’s relationship with Area Focus. Working with partners and sponsors to assist with the curation of events within each area
- take responsibility for the LFA master grid document and social media grid
- assist with LFA social media channels
- support the deputy director to manage the LFA programme press launch
- support the event delivery of LFA core content events eg core lecture series
- support the event management of the LFA Opening party, management events logistics, guest list, etc
- maintain a record of the LFA activites collaborating with to ensure it is represented on all LFA channels
- manage the organiser and audience survey process
- any other tasks as maybe required
What are we looking for
We are looking for someone who is extremely organised, highly motivated and able to provide essential support to the team in the delivery of the festival.
- the applicant must have architecture background/high interest in built environment industry
- a good working knowledge of Microsoft Of ce programmes including spreadsheets and databases
- previous experience of working in event organisation, ideally in a similar role
- the applicant must demonstrate ability to be highly organised and used to working on time sensitive projects
- a high level of written and spoken English is required
Position offered for a six month contract starting February 2018.
Salary £24,000 per annum, pro rata £12,000.
Holiday 28 days per year including Bank Holidays and three days between Christmas and New Year.
Your normal working week is 40 hours, Monday to Friday.
